Now Everybody Unite
Current programmes delivered by NEU Community Wellbeing CIC
NEU Community Wellbeing CIC works with trusted funders and community partners to deliver practical, trauma-informed and lived-experience-led programmes. Our current funded projects support people at key transition points — including release from custody, recovery, school disengagement and the development of stronger local wellbeing services.

Each project has a distinct focus, but all share one purpose: helping people build the understanding, confidence and practical tools needed to move forward.

Funded by: The Welland Trust
Delivery: One 12-month project
Who it supports: Care-experienced people preparing to leave custody and rebuild their lives in the community.
6 In, 6 Out supports people through the crucial resettlement window — six weeks of wellbeing and personal development support before release, followed by six weeks of structured support after release. The programme bridges the gap between custody and community, when practical pressures, uncertainty and the risk of disengagement are at their highest.
The aim is to strengthen stability, reduce isolation and help participants build a safer, more positive future beyond custody.

Funded by: Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland
Delivery: Three cohorts over 12 months, until April 2027
Who it supports: Young people aged 11 to 16 who are disengaged from education and at risk of exclusion and/or criminal activity.
Streets to Strength is an intensive, early-intervention programme combining trauma-informed wellbeing, lived-experience mentoring and sustained follow-up to help participants understand their story, manage pressure, make safer choices and reconnect with positive opportunities.
Across three cohorts, the project will support young people to build resilience, improve engagement and move from risk towards strength.

Funded by: Carlton Hayes Mental Health Charity
Delivery: Three cohorts over 6 months
Who it supports: Adults in recovery who are referred through Dear Albert.
Reset & Rewire is a safe, practical and trauma-informed group recovery programme. It uses plain-language neuroscience, reflection and hands-on tools to help people understand how addiction, trauma, triggers and automatic habits shape behaviour — and begin building a recovery identity that feels realistic and sustainable.
Three small-group cohorts over six months, providing structured support that complements existing recovery services.

Funded by: Leicestershire County Council and HDRC Leicestershire
Delivery: Research project until 31 October 2026
Who it supports: Local residents, community organisations and partners whose experiences can help shape better wellbeing support.
Together We Thrive is a community wellbeing research project exploring how people, place and everyday life influence health and wellbeing. It places community voices and lived experience at the centre — helping identify local strengths, barriers and priorities that may not be visible through statistics alone.
Running until 31 October 2026 — building a clearer, community-informed picture of what supports people to thrive.
Alongside our funded projects, NEU also provides free, non-clinical one-to-one wellbeing support, NEUkulele groups, NEU Move sessions, and a range of other community activities — delivered free of charge by dedicated volunteers and members of the NEU team.
