About
About Fin

From prison wing to wellbeing wingman. World traveller (Australia, New Zealand, America and most of Asia) who swapped tackling people on the rugby pitch to tackling his own wellbeing. While completing a sentence, he stepped up as a mentor and resident ideas guy, shaping a course built on real life, not wishful thinking.

Lived experience within the justice system wasn't the breaking of him — it was the making. He pressure-tested NEU, turned lessons into leadership, and found his lane. He's living proof the NEU plan delivers — his wellbeing and mental health have never been stronger.

He keeps us honest, keeps it doable, and keeps the NEU ideas flowing.

Background
My story

I travelled the world, played rugby, and built a life on the surface I was happy with. When I came home, I worked as a project manager in construction and carried on as if everything was fine. But during the Covid lockdown, my mental health continued to deteriorate, and I made choices that led to incarceration.

When poor self-esteem and mental health contributes directly to you sitting in a cell 23 hours a day, you realise you need to make a change. I signed up for Vee's Wellbeing and Self Development course and worked hard on my own wellbeing to learn things I'd once been scared to learn. I want to use what I've learned to support others — showing that no matter where you've been, it's possible to rebuild and move forward.
